Our foundation and journey
Station Road Preschool Ltd was born out of a passion for childcare and a commitment to meeting the needs of families in Addlestone. Charlene, the owner, began her career in childcare straight out of school, gaining qualifications and experience that laid the foundation for her vision. From a small childminding setting in her home to a larger facility accommodating more children and staff, Charlene’s journey reflects her dedication to providing high-quality care. Recognising a gap in term-time-only preschool services, she established Station Road Preschool Ltd to cater specifically to families needing flexible, term-time childcare. Today, the preschool stands as a testament to her vision, offering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 5 years.

Our staff are not only highly qualified but also deeply committed to creating a secure and stimulating environment. With paediatric first aid training including EpiPen use and full DBS checks, parents can rest assured that their children are in safe surroundings. Beyond safety, we focus on fostering intellectual, emotional, and social growth through a variety of activities and programmes. From creative play to early learning initiatives, every aspect of our preschool is designed to support the holistic development of each child. Meet the Team
Station Road Preschool Ltd, our dedicated team is at the core of our mission. All staff members are trained in paediatric first aid and have completed thorough DBS checks to maintain the highest safety and care standards. Owner Charlene Pocock brings extensive experience, holding a Level 3 qualification in childcare and management, and serves as the Design Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), ensuring a nurturing environment for every child. Our Manager, Jess Povey, shares this commitment with her Level 3 qualifications in childcare and management, also acting as a SENCO. Justine and Katie, both with Level 3 qualifications and Katie additionally holding a Level 6 special educational needs, complete the team, however from time to time we may send over other practitioners from Care Bare Childcare or Church Square Preschool. Together, they create a supportive and enriching space for children to thrive.
